What do you need:

  • 3 large turkey legs
  • 2 potatoes, cut into chunks

  • 2 1/2 cups of water
  • 2 cups long-grain white rice, cooked
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pinch seasoned meat tenderizer
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste

In a large bowl, whisk together the chicken and mushroom soup, mushroom soup, water, onion, green pepper, and red pepper until smooth. Place the turkey legs in a slow cooker and pour the mushroom soup mixture over the meat, cover and cook on high for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. When ready, add the potatoes to the pot and season with meat tenderizer, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2 more hours on high heat, stirring occasionally. Remove the turkey from the pot and cut the meat off the bones. Return the meat to the slow cooker, stir, and cook for 1 more hour. Serve hot over cooked rice.
