About a week ago, a friend shared about an elevator dream she had. In the dream, she wasn’t sure if she was trying to get out of the elevator or trying to close the elevator door so she could get up, but a huge black cobra head was at the door, preventing her from doing anything. What do dreams with elevators in them mean?

Elevators generally move up or down, suggesting that you are moving forward (up) or going backwards (down). My friend’s dream suggests that a deep fear within her is keeping her trapped in this moment, and that she has an opportunity to accept the fear (represented by the snake) and move on.

My friend’s elevator dream reminded me of mine several years ago. It’s also a synchronicity because it happened on the last morning of 2002, just before New Years 2003. (It’s almost the end of 2010 now.) I dreamed that I was in a spiral elevator. I was in a similar “stuck” situation for several months straight, and since March of that year, I had been practicing a special meditation and doing my best to move forward with my inner guidance because I wanted to “unstuck”. “

The following is a description of my dream and an excerpt from a memory of my reconnection and awakening process:

“On the last morning of the year (2002), I dreamed that I was riding an elevator up a skyscraper. The elevator did not move in a straight line but went up and around the outside face of the building in a loose spiral that reminded me of the DNA helix I huddled in a corner with my arms braced against the walls as I am so afraid of heights I was with a man I didn’t recognize as anyone in particular though he definitely looked familiar We got off at the floor with the patio The multitude of colorful food stalls, which reminded me of Quinsey Market Colonnade in Boston, were filled with a variety of fruits and vegetables, and even Polish food. kielbasa.

Together we walked into a well-lit restaurant where my partner tried to order a romantic Italian meal with wine and the works despite being the wrong place for it; on the menu were dishes like gefilte fish soup. It was clear to me what was or wasn’t on the menu, but my companion, insisting on Italian, started arguing with the waiter.

I felt uncomfortable; I didn’t want to be there. And while my partner is fighting with the waiter, I think he should really get out of there, forget about the pasta, get back in the elevator and continue spiraling up.

I woke up very excited and interpreted the dream to mean that I was on the right track, that I just needed to keep cultivating that inner connection and not pay too much attention to all those things and events around me, in other words, so as not to get distracted by things. of secondary life like pasta or gefilte fish, or even men. After all, romance wasn’t even on the menu at the time.” –End of excerpt.

The “waiter” in my dream can be interpreted as God, the “menu” as a divine plan, and “going up in the spiral elevator” as ascending, as spiritual growth. Looking back, this dream was prophetic for me. The last few years I have been working diligently on my higher life purpose, and it wasn’t until later in the process that I realized how important it was to avoid getting distracted from my path.

Before I began my meditation (one that was particularly helpful in connecting with my higher self) and continuing my inner guidance, my dreams weren’t as vivid or clear. I noticed that they became clearer and easier to interpret as I connected more with my inner self.

I have a feeling that many people will be experiencing elevator dreams in the near future as we are entering a time of unprecedented spiritual growth. (It is activated by reconnecting and integrating with your higher self). Having an elevator dream where you spiral up can be very comforting (and comforting), especially during this time of difficult challenges.
