There are a number of different unique dining experiences that you can come across when traveling through New York City. New York City has become known for its eclectic array of restaurants and themed restaurants that have helped put the city on the map as one of the top culinary travel spots in the world. One of the most unique places to dine in the entire city is the Jekyll and Hide Club. The restaurant is located in Manhattan and has as its theme the 1886 Victorian Gothic novel “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” written by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson. It’s a great place to have a unique experience with family and friends, and it’s a perfect place to take the kids (and your camera) to create a lasting memory of your time in New York City.

The restaurant is quite creepy inside and out and the employees are decorated with many details. The establishment works as a dining room-theater in which the actors are its waiters and waitresses. They don’t just interact with you, they serve your food too! All the wonderful atmosphere adds to the feel of the experience, and it’s easy to forget that you are in Manhattan, and not in the evil lair of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde! Characters like Ezra Von Gloome, Mr. Wrott, Mr. Goole, Butler Hives and Theorora Brayne will help make this one of the most unique dining experiences you have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.

The restaurant is adorned with animatronic decorations and accessories and special effects that make the experience feel that much more genuine. You can stop by to enjoy dinner with your family, or host a party or event (but be sure to plan ahead, as upcoming books will be published quite frequently due to their popularity). The food is to die for and you can find almost anything to suit your cravings. Fish, beef, and pork are served in wonderfully presented dishes and are fairly moderately priced when you factor in the depth of experience you are engaging in. One of our favorites is the charcoal-crusted 12-ounce ribeye steak, served with wasabi mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables, and bourbon butter. Even writing about it makes us hungry!

You can check out their menu before deciding to make this your dining accommodation by visiting their site. Reservations are recommended by calling 212-541-9505 and dialing extension 202 or 203, which will put you in contact with the event coordinators Nicole and Diana, respectively. Enjoy your dinner experience and let us know how you like it!
